What to do when you have an addiction

Firstly, visit a spiritual leader for prayers and Christian counseling. Spiritual leaders are capable of understanding what addicts are going through without a sense of judgment and condemnation. They help addicts recover quickly by praying with them with belief in God’s power.

Addicts should also believe in the gathering of the saints. When Christians gather, the power of God is made available to heal those that are sick and break loose those that are oppressed. Mixing with people will also help addicts evade chances of triggers and addiction relapse.

The role of the church in addiction recovery

The church provides addicts with all the love they need to pull through their problems. Most people tend to stay away from addicts especially those with substance-related addiction. The church gives addicts an environment where they can come up to talk and rid themselves of addiction.
